Our mission is to improve the lives of companion animals predominantly in Gloucester County and secondarily in surrounding counties, by increasing adoption and responsible pet ownership through education and community outreach. We are a relatively new (3 years old) organization. We have “adopted” around 100 3rd grade classrooms around Gloucester Country and are providing them with subscriptions to the Humane Society of the United States’ KIND News which teaches respect and kindness towards all animals (including wildlife). We have also run educational programs for girl scout troops, sponsor free training sessions to people who adopt dogs from our shelter, so that they better understand how to interact with the dog (and thus, reduce the likelihood that the animals comes back to the shelter.)
