FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS...
Q: How much is it to rent a double or triple tube?
A: Double tubes and triple tubes are available for no extra charge, but since supplies are limited, they are issued on a first come, first serve basis.
Q: What happens if my group pre-paid and it begins to rain, thunder, or lightning before my party goes out on the river? Do I get a refund?
A: If there is lightning prior to your outing, Delaware River Tubing will issue full refunds to pre-paid groups. Families do not prepay, so a refund is not applicable; however, we do offer half price admission for families, good for any operating weekday, on days with bad weather. Delaware River Tubing will close on days with lightning. If the weather is questionable, please call us to find out if we're open prior to leaving your departure point at 908-996-5386.
Q: What happens if begins to rain, thunder, or lightning while I'm out on the river? Do I get a refund?
A: Unfortunately, Delaware River Tubing does not control the weather. Due to this reason, Delaware River Tubing will offer no refunds in part or whole due to inclement weather once your group or family has entered the Delaware River. It is your responsibilty to plan your outing accordingly and check weather conditions prior to your arrival. We advise for you to have a rain date scheduled in the event of possible inclement weather.
Delaware River Tubing will provide you with instructions on river exit procedure in the event of rain, thunder, or lightning during your trip. Please call us if you have any questions in regards to this matter.
Q: What happens if I miss "The Famous River Hot Dog Man" or don't want to stop and eat?
A: Delaware River Tubing prices include the free BBQ meal and no refunds will be given if you miss or decide not to stop at "The Famous River Hot Dog Man". Signs on the river direct you to Adventure Island to redeem your free BBQ meal. It is not required that you stop and eat, but we recommend you do for a delicious, free lunch.
REMEMBER...
*Free keycheck! We offer a free keycheck so you don't lose your keys. Our competition charges for a keycheck. You're visiting to have a fun day, don't let it be ruined by having to wait in the parking lot for a locksmith.
*Car parking is only $6.00. 10 passenger vehicles and larger are only $12.00 (This price includes 7% New Jersey Sales Tax).
*All trips take about 3 - 4 hours to complete and you will be traveling a distance of 5-6 miles (depending on your trip). Actual trip length can vary based upon the day's weather and river height.
*Footwear is mandatory! We suggest avoiding flip-flops because they are not securely strapped to your feet and it is very common for flip-flop owners to return with one less flip-flop than they came with, or none at all. Also, much of the river has a rocky bottom, which can be very difficult to walk on in flip flops. If you are worried about footwear, we offer inexpensive, proper river shoes at our river shop.
*Check out our FAQ page prior to coming for even more information and resources.
*Safety is a number one concern and should be yours, as well. Inexperienced swimmers and children under 12 must wear a life jacket. Each individual in a raft, canoe, or kayak must at least have a life jacket on board, or you run the risk of being fined by the PA Fish and Boat Commission. Life jackets are available for free with every admission.
*Call 908-996-5386 with any questions or concerns you may have. We will accommodate you to the best of our ability!
